Public BBQ

A large reserve at Paralowie, much improved since the old playground was replaced, with swings, slippery dips and a flying fox for children, and enough open sightlines to keep an eye on them, which is easier than at the bigger adventure playgrounds and considerably less windy. There are basketball and tennis courts, an oval, a separate fenced dog park, undercover seating with barbecue areas, long walking trails along the creek, and three public toilets, one with wheelchair access, plus hand washing facilities. Two drawbacks: mosquitoes along the creek are relentless, and litter accumulates in places despite the number of bins.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Salisbury council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Salisbury council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
